Ten percent of profits from book sales and twenty percent of profits from artwork sales is donated to Kenosis Spirit Keepers, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, which seeks to preserve indigenous wisdom traditions in danger of decimation. In addition, a percentage of proceeds from all Kenosis programs is donated for programs providing cross-cultural exchange, education and community-building opportunities for indigenous peoples. Carla's exploration of world traditions and immersion in Indigenous wisdom traditions has taken her to many other far-flung, remote places in the world. These influences and direct experience over many years with Indigenous Spirit Keepers naturally color her artwork. She is an artist who captures the essence of people and places through black/white photography, oil on canvas, and mixed media.
